# The Standard for Identification Accreditation

We document all certifications. We welcome outside audits by trusted organizations.

### Proof of Domicile

- Possess at least one cryptographically signed confirmation, eg on [Endorser Search](http://endorser.ch).

- Either:

  - Provide documentation. We accept the [US Government passport requirements](https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/identification.html).

  - Host an in-person validation. We gather two distinct evidences from the following:

    - Visits inside the location
    - Unannounced visits outside the location
    - Confirmation by other well-known persons

- Not validated:

  - We do not validate that a person has lived a majority of time in a location (eg >= 183 days/year).

### Proof of Domicile Address

- Satisfy Proof of Domicile (above).

- Either:

  - Provide documentation. This is typically an online lookup at the county recorder's website.

  - Host an in-person check of the physical address on the domicile. This includes validation with at least two neighbors with visible address numbers and validation of the street marker.

### Proof of Domicile Boundary

- Satisfy Proof of Domicile (above).

- Either:

  - Provide documentation. This is typically an online lookup at the county recorder's website.

  - Host an in-person view of boundary markers.

- Not validated:

  - Unless specified, we do not validate at surveyor-grade accuracy (only at general physical boundaries).

### Proof of Age

For example, over 16 (eg for driving) or over 18 (eg for voting) or over 21 (eg for drinking)

- Have at least one cryptographically signed confirmation, eg on [Endorser Search](http://endorser.ch).

- Either:

  - Provide documentation. We accept the [US Government passport requirements](https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/how-apply/citizenship-evidence.html).

  - Host in-person validation. We gather two distinct evidences from the following:

    - Knowledge of the person for enough years
    - Having children of enough years (who must in turn have confirmation or show multiple evidences)
    - Obvious physical characteristics that show them to be well over the age in question

- Not validated:

  - Unless explicitly specified, the precise age or day of the year are not validated.
